Position Details:
We are seeking a skilled, hands-on Field Technician / Technical Field Staff to support residential energy efficiency and weatherization work in the Birmingham area. This role is ideal for someone with field experience who is comfortable working in homes, understands building systems, and takes pride in quality workmanship and customer interaction.
The ideal candidate has experience with weatherization measures such as insulation and ventilation, and brings a strong technical mindset to field work. Experience in energy efficiency, HVAC, or home performance is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform in-home field work related to weatherization and energy efficiency services
- Install and/or support insulation, ventilation, and related building performance measures
- Conduct basic assessments and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements
- Ensure all work meets program, safety, and quality standards
- Clearly communicate scope of work and findings to customers in a professional manner
- Accurately document work completed using mobile or digital tools
- Follow all safety protocols and company procedures while working in the field
